About
Hi! I'm Maddie.
I’m a DC area graphic designer who spends her days shaping motion, social, and digital campaigns in agency environments where clarity, craft, and follow-through matter. I’m drawn to projects that ask a lot of design: complex subjects, nuanced audiences, and work that needs to hold up beyond a fleeting moment.
With five years of agency experience, I’ve led creative across public health, policy, and consumer-facing projects, often at moments when accuracy and timing are just as important as aesthetics. I approach design as a thinking and making discipline. Strong typography, clear layout systems, and intentional motion help me translate opaque ideas into work that feels confident, accessible, and considered.
How I think about design
I value design that earns trust.
That requires asking the right questions early and building systems that can adapt as priorities shift. I create my best work when I’m collaborating closely with strategists, writers, and account teams to shape work that not only looks good but resonates deeply in the real world.
Outside of client work, I’m usually somewhere between my next cup of coffee, figuring out why my plants hate me, and solving the New York Times crossword (almost) everyday. These small rituals keep me curious and comfortable sitting with problems until they click.
